If you need to fix the alignment, font face, or font size in an ordered list
Fix Alignment of New List Items
After adding new items to an ordered list, you may need to adjust the alignment, so all items have the same indentation. If the items in the list are in a single table, then all items will be adjusted at the same time. If the list items are in separate tables, the following steps should be repeated for each item.
- Place your cursor in any cell of the table.
- Right-click in any cell of the table and select List Properties.
- Set the number of tabs before and after the symbol.
A tab and paragraph indent have the same measurement, so it is possible to adjust tabs to align with paragraph indents by increasing or decreasing the values in the list properties window.
Adjust Font Size
Sometimes when text is added to an item list, the font will self-adjust to the default browser font size which is usually 12. The size difference can be seen when looking at a proof or HTML view (View Document).
Right-click on the new row and select List Properties. Confirm the correct font size is selected and press OK to apply. Note: This action might require using List Properties to fix alignment, depending on how the items are formatted. Check the proof or HTML view once more to be sure.
